In either case, self-discovery can be a lonely road – even if you’re surrounded by family and friends, its ultimately a path you have to walk alone. And yet, the process of “finding yourself” cannot be experienced only internally – it demands interaction with the outside world.
What exactly is “finding yourself”? Is it that gap year backpacking trip in Europe? Those strange years in college between adolescence and finding your place in productive society? Is it a struggle to find your place in the world, or is it more of an internal battle to become comfortable with who you are?
